메타버스가 추구하는 미래
메타버스란 무엇인가 설명을 하면서 많은 기업 중 페이스북 회장, 마크 저거 버그 Mark Zuckerberg의 말과 텐센트 회장, Huateng Ma의 말을 인용한 거 보면, BCG는 미국과 함께 중국 클라이언트나 중국 시장에 관심 있는 클라이언트가 많은 가 봅니다.
Zuckerberg는 “a set of virtual spaces where you can create and explore with other people who aren’t in the same physical space as you.” 당신이 있는 물리적 세계와 다른 당신과 다름 사람들이 함께 만든 가상공간, "an embodied internet, where instead of just viewing content — you are in it and feel present with other people as if you were in other places 단순히 콘텐츠를 보는 것이 아니라, 당신이 사람들과 느끼고 현존할 수 있는 인터넷 체화된 공간”라고 했으며, Huateng Ma는 “a virtual world that connects to the world that we live in and shared by many people with a real economy and real avatar that belongs to and is the user 실제 경제 활동을 할 수 있는 현실과 연결되어 있으며 아바타가 공존하는 가상현실”.이라 정의합니다.
기술에 따른 메타버스 특징
- 공간 몰입: 단순한 3D 디지털 아바타 또는 오늘날의 더 정교한 VR 또는 AR 기술을 통해 디지털 공간 내에서 존재감을 재현합니다
- 집합적 공유 공간: 연결 및 컴퓨팅 기능이 증가함에 따라 사용자 간에 가상 환경이 공유됩니다.
- 동기식 실시간 현실: 메타버스는 가상현실을 실제처럼 더 지속적으로 만들어 우리의 행동과 자산을 유지하고 연결되지 않은 상태에서도 메타버스를 실시간으로 진화시킬 수 있습니다.
- 상호 연결된 공간: 메타버스는 물리적 세계(예: AR, IoT) 또는 다른 메타버스(예: 표준)를 포함하여 서로 다른 수준의 공간 상호 연결을 가질 수 있습니다.

At the convergence of three of today’s most exciting emerging technologies, the metaverse offers the tantalizing prospect of a new kind of world – one where physical and virtual experiences complement each other and combine seamlessly to create something more expansive and compelling than we have ever imagined before. It is still early days. But past experience has taught us that major technological developments must be carefully anticipated and responsibly deployed in order to be our tools, not our masters. With bold new metaverse applications and content coming onstream every day, now is the time for MENAT governments to take stock of the opportunities, considerations, required capabilities and policy implications – and proactively map their paths forward.
